Maluma along with one of his close high-school friends recorded a song named ‘No Quiero’. His music career took off when his uncle offered him to record a song in his studio on his birthday. Maluma’s singing career began in 2010 when he started to record various singles. His single, ‘Farandulera’ became a radio hit after which he was signed by Sony Music, Columbia, recording his first studio album. His second single based on the feelings of ‘rampant and uncontrolled love’ named ‘Loco’ came out, which again, inspired millions of lives.
